The most intriguing detective thriller of the year turns out not to be a novel, but a real life “whodunit” set in the high stakes world of high technology. The mystery to be solved: who or what killed the electric car company Better Place, one of the most promising Israeli startups in history.
Business and technology journalist Brian Blum reveals the answer in his new book. Better Place was featured in the opening chapter of Start-up Nation. Now find out the end of the story.
Brian Blum has covered all sides of the high-tech revolution. His articles about companies — and the people, behavior and sometimes astonishing events that are behind them — have appeared in Haaretz, The Jerusalem Post, and  Israel21c. He is a senior analyst for the Advanced Interactive Media Group and its “Classified Intelligence Report.”
Blum’s own Internet publishing startup Neta4 raised $3.2 million, in 1998. He served as entrepreneur-in-residence for Jerusalem Global Ventures and was a vice president of marketing for telecommunications provider Comverse.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Blum lives in Jerusalem with his wife Jody (from Sherman Oaks) and their three children.
